Extra, extra: Maha Music Festival adds on to their list of bands for this year's festival on Aug. 11 at Aksarben Village in Omaha. Delta Spirit, Dum Dum Girls and Eli Mardock will join Desaparecidos, Garbage, Josh Rouse and Icky Blossoms at the fourth-annual festival.
For the uninitiated, here's the way we see the additions to the menu: Delta Spirit is a rich gumbo, which, along their newest self-titled album, adds a bottle of bubbly soda pop to the meal. Dum Dum Girls are, well, an assortment of lollipops served alongside a '50s diner cheeseburger and a shot of Jäger. Eli Mardock is a vanilla ice cream cone with caramel syrup, wrapped in a torn page of literature.
In addition to the lineup news, Maha also announced their first showcase of local bands at Duffy's on Saturday, June 30. In partnership with Hear Nebraska, the free concert will feature bands to-be curated by Eli Mardock.
