Blend soulful yet futuristic music with intelligent writing and you have Toki Wright. Wright is an Emmy Award Winning MC and 2 time CLIO Award-winning producer. Wright has released albums through his imprint Soul Tools Entertainment and Rhymesayers Entertainment charting top 50 on MTV, iTunes, and more. Wright is the Department Head of the United States first fully accredited Hip-Hop Studies program at McNally Smith College of Music. Toki is an arts ambassador and MC regularly touring the world. Wright co-curated the Cannes Lion-nominated Watch The Stove mixtape for Hamburger Helper which was named the biggest viral marketing campaign of 2016. Under the producer moniker Mamadu, Wright has also been behind the scenes producing for various artists. Toki also co-hosts Soul Tools Radio Saturday nights from 9-11PM on KFAI FM Radio.
Toki Wright’s new project “At The Speed of Life Volume 3” was recently released. On the project Toki produces, writes, mixes, records, designs, and releases a new song for 7 days straight.
