Lincoln rock quintet Dude Won’t Die released its first music video, a single from the forthcoming album Dude Won’t Die Fights a Stranger in the Alps.
The 9-minute mockumentary-style video, directed by Mike Flowers, premiered at Homegrown Film Festival Tuesday night. The video was filmed in the studio at Sadson Music Group in Lincoln.
Lucas Kellison, who recorded the band, makes a disrupting and hilarious appearance in the middle of the video. The whole outing is consistent with the band’s tendency toward dark humor in their lyrics and persona.

If you want to keep up with McCarthy Trenching, you might have to be on Twitter moving forward.
Dan McCarthy, who doesn’t use Facebook, wrote a note yesterday to his Facebook followers and posted a picture of said note to McCarthy Trenching’s Facebook page. The note says McCarthy’s cousin has been updating the page on his behalf, but with his cousin’s recent move, it’s become inconvenient.
McCarthy says he does use Twitter from time to time under the handle @McTrenching. Penning a handwritten note where a Facebook post would have sufficed is exactly the type of charm to be expected from the lyricist who folds every heart-wrenching lyric between small punchlines.
