Longtime independent record label SPEED! Nebraska celebrated its 20th anniversary on Saturday with a concert at Brothers Lounge. Founder and co-executive Gary Dean Davis took the stage with his band The Wagon Blasters in honor of reaching the milestone, as did his partner Mike Tulis with his band Lupines. The show had the feel of a classic SPEED! gathering, with loose meat sandwiches, pie and 45s galore.
Thankfully, no one was hurt (the same cannot be said of some past SPEED! events.) See our photos from Saturday below:

During the show, Gary Dean Davis encourages fellow music enthusiasts to take home a free record. “Did you get some pie and a record? You can’t leave here without a record. They won’t let you leave without a record.”
