Crooning bluesgrass-style around a pair of condenser microphones, The McGovern Stringband gave us a rattling, joyous sound on our KZUM radio program Monday night.

With multiple generational pairings presents — father and son Kelly and Brian McGovern and David and Nate Morris — the band’s in-studio had an especially easy feeling, even through zip-along acoustic solos. Listen to a handful of their lives songs below.
