Calling all local musicians: Eli Mardock needs your vegetarian recipes for his collaborative cookbook Omagoodness – A Compilation of Favorite Vegetarian Recipes from Nebraska Musicians. With all cookbook proceeds going to the Food Bank for the Heartland, you can fight hunger and pass on your family's best veggie stew.

"Food Bank for the Heartland serves more than 300 food pantries, emergency shelters, after-school programs, senior housing sites, and rehabilitation centers in Nebraska and Western Iowa," says Mardock, whose upcoming album is planned for release this summer. The solo LP's title track "Everything Happens for a Reason" is now available for free download.

E-mail your recipe by March 1, along with your name, band name (if applicable), and a brief note or story about your recipe, such as its origin, a funny memory of cooking it, or how yummy it is. Cookbooks are hoped to be ready by August, Mardock says.
