Noise rock is alive and well.
Mildred Bonk, originally made up of just two then-co-workers Tony Lien and Clinton Smith, takes the idea of band and turns it into a cathartic, free-rein arena for Lincoln musicians to play whatever they feel, whenever they feel it. The music collective, as Smith calls it, makes it easy for members of the band to play together without experiencing any sort of creative control.
Listen to what Lien, Smith and bass player Jeff Bockoven have to say about their songwriting process, their live show experience and why it's important to jam –– and don't forget to check out the 24 hours of recorded music the band has up on SoundCloud.
