Lincoln Bike Kitchen wants to ensure that anyone in Lincoln interested in biking is able, and on Saturday night three Nebraska bands helped them oil the chain a bit.
The three-year-old co-operative, which aims to provide refurbished bikes and parts to the Lincoln community, staged a fundraiser at The Bourbon featuring Megaton, Bonebucket and King Thumper.
The alt-rock group Bonebucket and sludge metal band Megaton traveled from Omaha to support the Bike Kitchen, while King Thumper hails from Lincoln. From all three acts, volume was in high supply, blowing the doors off the early evening starttime.
All told, the event raised $200 for Lincoln Bike Kitchen. For more information, and to learn how you can support their community efforts, visit their website.
