Tiny Monsters is a four-piece group from Omaha, NE. Our music pulls from a widely varied collection of influences, with genres spanning from soul and funk to folk. All original sets are composed of high energy, funky, dance-able songs and soulful or folky ballads. The members have honed their skills playing hundreds of shows collectively, from coast to coast.
Tiny Monsters was formed in mid 2015 when Ben Baldwin and Valerie Electricradbolt discovered that their unique voices worked uncannily well together. They started writing songs and playing out together right away, with mostly folk sounds, but when Matthew Jones (Cosmic Smiths, Domestic blend, Emily Ward, OMAHA) joined on bass and Derek Bird (Cosmic Smiths, Fallible, The Bishops, Before I burn, RUGs) came in on drums, that’s when things got super funky. We’ve been having some great times on Omaha and Lincoln stages, and we’re about to go on our first tour with our upcoming EP.
