The Soul Searchers have been crafting their infectious blend of blues, rockabilly, and surf during their standing gig at The Greenwood Lounge, Des Moines’ oldest nightclub. The band’s new album, “Boogie Woogie Night Hawk,” captures the band’s old-school approach to songs and instrumentation (guitar, piano, upright bass, drums). Bruce Iglauer, founder of Alligator Records, put it best when describing the band’s debut album a few years ago: “This was a very enjoyable listen; everyone playing the blues with a real sense of the tradition, no desire to show off, and real ensemble work.”
