A sailor lost at sea, a young girl stranded along the desert stretch of Route 66, and a revolutionary war army deserter are just some of the characters you’ll meet when you listen to “Escaping from the Pale Moonlight”, the new album by Sweet Wednesday.
Singer/songwriters Dave Falk and Lisa Housman write and perform in the roots rock, folk, alt country genres, combining elements of comedy, tragedy, and haunting beauty into their writing.
Multi-instrumentalist Dave Falk plays the guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, and violin, while Lisa plays guitar. Both sing, with harmonies laced throughout.
Since putting out their first record, “Wherever You Go” a few years ago, Lisa and Dave have toured in the U.S. and Europe, performing live at colleges, festivals, clubs, coffeehouses, radio stations, and television stations. Songwriting awards include First Place in the Great American Song Contest, First Place in the Dallas Song Competition, and Runner-Up in the John Lennon Song Contest.
The pair perform both as an acoustic duo, and with various supporting musicians, including a string band and a rock band.
