Mushroomhead is an American metal rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in 1993, the band’s music can be described as a synthesis of alternative music, experimental music, and heavy metal. Known for its theatrical live show and the black masks that most of its member wear on-stage, Mushroomhead is one of the more unique and adventurous alternative metal outfits that emerged in the 1990s. The Cleveland band’s music is as interesting as its image; Mushroomheads forceful yet melodic alterna-metal incorporates elements of hip-hop, punk, and goth rock as well as industrial and techno. The bands last album sold over 200,000 units in the USA alone. Mushroomhead released Savior Sorrow for the pioneering rock label Megaforce Records in 2006. A few years later in the fall of 2010, they released “Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children” and it debuted as #44 on Billboard charts.
