Modern Baseball defy genres, and while they may take exception to particular labels (can someone please explain what “90’s emo” really means? Seriously…), the Philadelphia-by-way-of-anywhere-else-other-than-Philly indie rock trio do not spent too much time dwelling on such riff-raff. Their DIY style and no-frills musical approach is as refreshing as it is appreciated. So while others may try to pigeonhole Modern Baseball into this genre or that subgenre, the guys will be rocking out. In the end, they are a rock band, plain and simple.
