KZUM is proud to again present this summer’s FREE concert series at Lincoln’s Stransky Park (17th & Harrison), to run every Thursday from May 26 through August 18, 2016!
We’re pleased to be growing to 13 concerts in 2016, featuring even more of the best musical talent in our area.
Our first concert of the season will be featuring Lincoln’s PANgea Steel Drum Band.
Founded and Directed by John Scofield, along with support by assistant director Megan Manning-Kechely, PANgea is a steel drum band comprised of LPS percussion students, an electric bass player, and an electric guitar player from grades 9-12.
The groups are open to all music students in LPS through an audition process. This year’s members include students from East High, Lincoln High, Southeast and Southwest High Schools.
As always, concerts are free, family-friendly events and will run 7-9 p.m. every Thursday throughout the summer. You’re encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy great entertainment in a beautiful setting.
