The Good Living Tour: West Point — Rock Paper Dynamite, John Klemmensen and the Party, Dustin Prinz

West Point, Nebraska hosts night seven of the 2015 Good Living Tour — Thursday, July 23, at the Nielsen Community Center.

Southern-infused Omaha rock band Rock Paper Dynamite will headline the concert, along with high-energy Omaha rockers John Klemmensen and the Party, and native West Point son-turned Nashville transplant Dustin Prinz Music.

Cuming County Economic Development has been a critical partner with project organizer Hear Nebraska, providing vision and leadership to help bring the inaugural Good Living Tour to West Point. The Good Living Tour is an inaugural concert series hosted in nine communities across Greater Nebraska, July 17-25. It’s also an accompanying community storytelling/marketing project aimed to communicate the benefits of living in Greater Nebraska to a young audience — statewide and around the world — through social and traditional media.

The concert is FREE, FAMILY FRIENDLY, and ALL AGES are encouraged to attend. Doors open at 6 p.m., with music beginning at 8 p.m. Come young. Come old. Celebrate Good Living in Greater Nebraska!

POCK PAPER DYNAMITE (Omaha)

The sibling-led band Rock Paper Dynamite has shown itself to relish in hard work the last five years, with a handful of EPs and a heavy-lifting live show. Routinely invoking open roads and a need to forge ahead, RPD songs charge forward on the strength of brothers Joseph and Andrew Janousek’s Americana voice-guitar partnership.

JOHN KLEMMENSEN AND THE PARTY (Omaha)

There’s a place inside John Klemmensen songs where remarkable melodic talent, a tender voice and broken-hearted lyrics join together. With his Omaha band, the Party, Klemmensen put out his finest record to date, earlier this year. Party All Night was recorded at Rainbow Studios in Omaha, which was an early home for international pop musicians 311 when they got their start. Klemmensen and the Party used the studio to craft a record steeped in rock ‘n’ roll texture, all hinging on Klemmensen’s transcendent singing voice.

DUSTIN PRINZ (West Point/Nashville)

West Point-based songwriter Dustin Prinz has spent much of 2015 so far on the road, bringing his jammy, clear-voiced acoustic music all over the Midwest. Supplementing his online following with countless cover song videos appears to have made Prinz a tradesman in crowd-pleasing and a careful student of song construction.
