** MORE ABOUT THE BANDS **
McCarthy Trenching (Omaha)
http://www.mccarthytrenching.com/
McCarthy Trenching is the Omaha folk duo of Dan McCarthy and James Maakestad. With four records to its name, a fifth is on the way for 2015. McCarthy Trenching songs are full of small compositional mirages that turn out to be bits of absolute songwriting prowess when you look closer. From ragtime piano to bubbling bass-guitar arrangements, it’s smart and knee-slapping folk music.
BOTH (Omaha)

Some of the most dynamic hip-hop in Nebraska, Both thrives on both relaxation and rage. With producer INFNTLP providing something akin to beautiful elevator music, rapper Scky Rei can both growl and drawl. The duo’s debut album came out in 2014, and they’re teaming up with Omaha’s Make Believe Records for a follow-up this year.
blét (Lincoln/Scotts Bluff County)

Three people probably shouldn’t be able to produce the scope of sounds blét creates at its live shows. The two-year-old pop band, defined by atmospheric layers, is operating at maximum efficiency when they’re playing multiple instruments at a time or squeezing the most out of an ambient guitar pedal. Blét’s debut full-length is due out this year.
