Hear Nebraska’s 2015 Good Living Tour is an unprecedented concert series featuring a diverse collection of 27 all-original Nebraska bands playing free, all-ages concerts in 9 Greater Nebraska communities July 17-25. North Platte, Nebraska hosts night five: Tuesday, July 21 at a TBA outdoors location.
Fresh off a blistering performance at the 2014 Maha Music Festival, Omaha hip-hop/electronic trio M34n Str33t will headline the concert, joined by Omaha folk rock band Brad Hoshaw Music, as well as up-and-coming Lincoln funk band A Ferocious Jungle Cat.
Visit North Platte (the North Platte/Lincoln County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau) contributed the financial support necessary to bring the inaugural Good Living Tour to the city. The Good Living Tour is an inaugural concert series hosted in nine communities across Greater Nebraska, July 17-25. It’s also an accompanying community storytelling/marketing project aimed to communicate the benefits of living in Greater Nebraska to a young audience — statewide and around the world — through social and traditional media.
The concert is FREE, FAMILY FRIENDLY, and ALL AGES are encouraged to attend. Music will start at 8 p.m. Come young. Come old. Celebrate Good Living in Greater Nebraska!

The hip-hop of M34n Str33t’s debut album is ecstatic with a sense of fuzzy playfulness. Rapper Conchance, producer Haunted Gauntlet and DJ Really Real employ samples and beats that are forthright and hum-happy, right up until the moment that the songs seem to get anxious with themselves. Fronted by Conchance’s brilliant rapping dialect, Hear Nebraska’s editorial staff called Mutants of Omaha one of its favorite albums of 2014.

Brad Hoshaw & The Seven Deadlies (Omaha)

As the frontman and namesake of Brad Hoshaw & The Seven Deadlies, Omaha’s Hoshaw embodies both a sweet-voiced bandleader and a contemplative singer-songwriter. His heartfelt brand of Americana and folk rock has been compared to My Morning Jacket, James Taylor and Ryan Adams. The band’s second album, Funeral Guns, came out in 2014.

A Ferocious Jungle Cat (Lincoln)

The Lincoln funk band’s high-paced, spacious sounds harken back to soul bands of old, mixed with hip-hop energies. In their work, harmonies, wild trombones and endless grooves reign. A Ferocious Jungle Cat released its debut, self-titled EP in 2014.
