MORE THAN BLOOD was formed in July 2015 and features members Jon “Frost” Echtinaw (ex: The Impulsive, lead guitar), Martin Hastie (also: Splitline, rhythm guitar/vocals), Jack Mazzarra Akiki (drums), and Tristan Nolan (bass guitar/backup vocals), both of Nevermind the Riot.

The band is focused on playing memorable music based on each member’s experiences. Influences include Bullet For My Valentine, Threat Signal, Born of Osiris, Dethklok, A Day To Remember, Slipknot, Tool, and many more. Though the band’s genre is typically described as metalcore, each member takes from their artistic influences and experience to develop a unique sound for their listeners.

MORE THAN BLOOD has played with national acts Sevendust, Gemini Syndrome, WOVENWAR, Avatar, and more. The band is focused on using their growing fanbase to gain opportunities with major acts and promoters, as well as solidify their place as the premier metalcore act in the Omaha, NE scene. The band will be releasing it’s first full-length album, Blood Oath, on July 16, 2016.
