Benny Salz has been on a whirlwind musical adventure for the majority of his adult life. From a young age he was obsessed with hip-hop and techno music and began making beats on his own at age 15 using an early software called Cakewalk. From 2007 until 2014 Benny went on to release 3 mix-tapes and 2 studio albums as a hip-hop lyricist in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Since then he has expanded his creativity by doing extensive traveling, studying at the prestigious Pyramind Training music production school in San Francisco, and involving himself in a multitude of music projects that have led him to where he is today. Currently based out of Los Angeles, Benny is now producing, singing, rapping, and playing live instrumentation for all of the tracks he creates. His latest work, “Normal” is an entirely electronic based 15-track album that was released on November 1st 2016.

All 15 of these tracks were produced in Ben’s “home” studio. However the home studio was built, disassembled, and reassembled 14 different times, in 15 different locations, over the course of Ben’s 2 nomadic years. Although there was major instability in his living situations, Benny’s drive and passion to produce a well thought out electronic album remained constant.

Benny’s music is positive, danceable, tranquil and groovy all at the same time. And his signature chill-electro melodies will no doubt conjure up some daydreaming goodness for you. If you catch him on stage you can expect a very intimate performance that will feature him rapping, dancing, dropping fresh instrumentals, and of course, spreading the love that he has found within himself over the years.
