[Editor's note: This album premiere previews Low Horse's concert with Dead Fingers and McCarthy Trenching on Wednesday at The Bourbon Theatre. The show starts at 9 p.m. and is $5 for 21+ and $7 for 18-20.]
Craig Reier sings, "In the middle of nowhere, there's still so much to find," about midway through Low Horse's debut EP, Songs. He's speaking to you, the one wearing sunglasses in the dark, and throughout the five songs streaming below, Low Horse stays true to the second perspective:
You built a house inside your head. You could be a tall tree. You slept too late to work today. But overall, Low Horse's letters to "you," despite their plain descriptions of your downtrodden self, are letters of assurance. You can still find what's out there in the middle of all this nothingness.
Hear for yourself with this album premiere stream. You can also pre-order the EP via Low Horse's Bandcamp page and receive a download of "Rings" right away. Songs will be released on July 2.
