Each year, The Reader has the pleasure of sponsoring a local band for the the annual SXSW event in Austin, Texas, the week of March 14. This year, we've chosen the amazing funky rock band Satchel Grande, one of our all-time favorites, despite the faux porn-star-inspired mustaches and sunglasses. You can check the guys out Monday, March 14, at the special SXSW Send-Off Party. The band will be performing at 8 p.m. and giving away some awesome prizes to help raise money for their SXSW trip. $5 at the door, with all proceeds going to the band.
