“Poker Face” by Kaitlyn Maria Filippini | Contributor Spotlight

by Andrew Norman

Fact: Hear Nebraska's contributors include some of the state's most talented writers, photographers, videographers, editors, designers, artists and musicians. And they volunteer their time to engage, entertain and inform you. We're grateful for their contributions, and we'll increasingly shine spotlights on their work to show you why you should be as impressed as we are.

Kaitlyn Maria Filippini spins plates like most people tie their shoes. She's involved in so many projects, they're hard to list. They include: playing violin for All Young Girls are Machine Guns and with DJ Kobrakyle and The Answer Team; earning her doctorate in neuroscience; and drawing all the art for the Love Drunk/Hear Nebraska sessions.

She also plays a mean version of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," produced by Matt Hovanec at Lincoln's Plan C Recordings and featuring Matty Sanders on drums, guitar and bass.

Enjoy!
