Blonde Redhead plus Belle & Sebastian plus Feist equals Lincoln band Gloworm, more or less. Comprising Joe Younglove, Marisa Kibbie, Jenny Chambers and Logan Young, the band is set to release their debut album Home on Tuesday, March 22 at the Zoo Bar, 136 N. 14th St. in Lincoln.
The four joined me in the 89.3FM KZUM studio in Lincoln last Thursday to play some tunes and answer some questions. Listen to the podcast below to hear about the inspirations for their songs (like laundry), changes they've witnessed in the local music scene over the years (like the increase in female musicians) and to learn about their personal heroes (like a Nebraska-born singer/mobster's wife).
