His group M34N STR33T has been busy this summer, but Conchance continues to bill his Saturday show at The Waiting Room as a big one. It’s his first public solo outing of the season.
His label Make Believe Recordings released a promo video on Monday for the show. The minute-long video shows the rapper and his producer Kethro driving through Omaha in a bronze VW Beetle.

The anticipated new Benson venue Reverb Lounge announced two shows yesterday: Junior Prom on Oct. 10 and Alexz Johnson Nov. 11. Tickets for both go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
Johnson, a Canadian-born singer-songwriter, has released one full-length, 2010’s Voodoo and two EPs in the last year with another full-length on the horizon. Her music is passionate and intense, backed by major-label quality production.
She also starred in CTV’s Instant Star, which played on The N in the United States.
Brooklyn-based Junior Prom has released one EP on Elektra Records and expect a debut full-length early next year. The duo’s electro-pop music harkens back to ’80s pop music, an association galvanized their cover of by Hall & Oates’ “I Can’t Go for That.”
One Percent Productions is opening Reverb in Benson with the aim of providing a top-notch concert experience in an intimate space. The venue’s first show, Sebadoh, is Sept. 28. RSVP for that show here.

The Afghan Whigs play the Waiting Room tonight with Landon Hedges of Little Brazil.
The soul-infused alternative rock band saw a heyday in the ’90s with six releases. The group reformed in 2012 and released Do The Beast in April on Sub-Pop records. The show is $30. Tickets are available here.
