Hailing from the small Sandhills town of Hyannis NE, Tragic Martha founder Kim Nuss doesn’t let her isolated location prevent her from sharing her love of music with others. She often drives many hours to jam with friends, perform an open mic set or play a show. Kim’s music is an eclectic and innovative take on blues, folk and rock traditions. Additional Tragic Martha members include bassist Sarah Bailey (also of Briner), James Burke (lead guitar, harmonica) Madison Vetter (drums) and Laura Rubeck ( vocals, guitar, banjo).
