The Wildwoods’ Duo* Noah Gose (vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano), Chloe Pinkman (vocals, violin, mandolin), and Noah Pinkman ( vocals, guitar, mandolin, uke) were drawn to music at an early age.
They bring a pioneering sound to Americana Roots Music. Nominated in 2016 by the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards as one of the best Americana/Folk bands in the area. Their heartwarming lyrics and vocals are rich in love and happiness, wrapped in a style of music that is like no other with influences from old time country masters and today’s Indie/Folk sound. People of all ages are drawn to their music. The young songwriting tandem of Chloe Pinkman and Noah Gose harmonize like something out of the Depression Era, fitted with a certain weight ~ warmly and triumphantly lifting hearts.
Jack Hotel• 2016 Omaha Entertainment Arts and Awards Winner for Album of the Year. Since their start in 2012, Jack Hotel has proven itself one of the best, and most original, folk/Americana acts in the midwest. A storyteller’s sensibility prevails in their songs. Bandleader Günter Voelker writes with a novelist’s powers of observation and a poet’s ear for language, and the instrumentation meets the same standard. Each addition serves the song, advances the story, or drives home the emotion.
Lloyd McCarter and The Honky Tonk Revival* Growing up in a musical family, Lloyd has been steeped in real country music since the day he was born! At the age of eight he started playing in the family band. By the age of eighteen he was touring with the Fortytwenty band playing steel guitar. After cutting his teeth in the honkytonks of the midwest Lloyd has now taken it upon himself to bring back the days of the Country Hero, that has been lost and almost forgotten. With his new album Big Time, Lloyd looks to revive that true honky tonk sound and spirit. The smell of hardwood floors and stale beer are no stranger to this hardcore country and western singer songwriter!
Wendy Jane Bantam/ :Wendy & The Lost Boys* Influenced by William Burroughs and performance artists, Laurie Anderson and Nick Cave; Wendy Jane Bantam hails from Western Nebraska and studied music and art in Lawrence, Kansas. Appearing live on BBC Radio Shropshire in England Bantam has several independent recordings: Early Bird, A Cowboy’s Daughter, and Tin Tales. Her newest release: “Summer Devil” with Tremulant Records.
Bantam’s songs have been reviewed as,
“…Eastern European Americana. Songs for the lost souls of alien planets…the kind of songs that make cowboys cry.”
The Lost Boys are a roving band of journeyfolk and special guests. To see the cast of phenomenal musicians who make up this performance is a rare and real treat.
