Lyrics, Life and Love are the foundations of the artist known as Dominique Morgan. Since age 7, this storyteller narrates tales of the heart; recalling personal trials, tribulations and chronicles of passion. This 12-time Omaha Entertainment & Arts Award nominee has been deemed by Encounter Magazine as “…one of the most celebrated R&B artists in the Midwest.” Composing hit songs like “In My Zone” (from the album Party Soul by Jus.B) Mr. Morgan has composed over 400 songs of expression throughout his music career – with albums like Loveaholics and Love Chronicles, Dominique eloquently translates life’s pain into musical memoirs of strength and courage.
However, this artist isn’t merely confined to the performance stage – Dominique is also deeply entrenched in advocacy for community and youth. From his professional works with Charles Drew Health Center and administrative endeavors with the Social Justice Education Network, Dominique Morgan has been recognized for his dedication to educating his community on justice and equality. In 2016, Dominique was awarded the covenanted NAACP Freedom Fighter Award. He’s also been honored with the esteemed Change Maker Award by The Greater Omaha Young Professionals and entrance into the Individuals Artist Fellowship from the Nebraska Arts Council in early 2017. Music has a profound impact when you can connect your talents to your mission. Alongside these great achievements, Dom also sits as the Vice President for the Omaha Entertainment Arts Awards and Vice President of local record company, Icon One Music.
There’s no end in sight for this representation of artistry – recently Dominique had the esteemed honor of opening up for the multi-platinum recipient and R&B Grammy nominee, Ginuwine. Adding to his list of victories, Dominique now sets his focus on the highly anticipated album entitled Therapy Notes which is set to release in early 2018. The new single from Therapy Notes entitled “Life” (featuring Hip Hop sensation, Rowdy), gives way for his new book and biography that’s expected to also be release soon.
“If you can’t change the people around you, CHANGE the people around you.” – Dominique Morgan
