The Bourbon Theatre presents…

::: Memphis May Fire :::

Memphis May Fire hail from Dallas, Texas, having formed in December 2006 when Chase Ryan (vocals), Kellen McGregor (guitar and vocals), Ryan Bentley (guitar), Austin Radford (bass), and Jeremy Grisham (drums) came together to write songs for an EP. Signed to Trustkill early the following year on the strength of said eponymous EP (later reissued by the label), the group immediately began to work on new material for a long-player while honing their very intricate blend of hardcore, metal, and emo on-stage. In 2009, the band parted ways with Ryan, who was replaced by vocalist Matty Mullins. Later that year, the band made their full-length debut, and first album with Mullins, Sleepwalking. In 2011, the band signed on with Rise Records, where they released their sophomore effort, The Hollow, which saw the band launched to the top of Billboard’s U.S. Heatseekers chart. A third album, Challenger, arrived on the Rise label the following year, and featured the hard-charging singles “Prove Me Right” and “Vices.” Arriving in 2014, Unconditional debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Billboard Alternative Albums chart, and 2016’s This Light I Hold, their fifth studio long-player, featured guest appearances by Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix and American Heart’s Larry Soliman.
