Autopilot
Autopilot is an indie alternative rock band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Their 2016 fall release, Hurricane / Crooked Lines, is the first two tracks from an upcoming full-length album to be released in 2017. Hurricane / Crooked Lines was recorded and produced by S.J. Kardash at Full Color Studios in Saskatoon and mastered by Sterling Sound in New York City. These new songs highlight Autopilot’s creative songwriting skills and include spacey tones and unique touches such as a bow used on the guitar, as well as dynamic drum beats and solid bass lines to keep the listener captivated. The single will be released digitally as well as on a limited edition 7” 45 rpm colored vinyl.

Autopilot’s 2015 release, Desert Dreams, was produced, recorded and mixed by S.J. Kardash at Full Color Studios in Saskatoon and mastered by Dave Greenberg at Sonopod Mastering in St. Petersburg, FL. The band previously worked with Kardash on their last full length record, Diamond Rough, in 2013 and their first EP, The All Divided, in 2005.

The band is continuing to build off the success of Desert Dreams which debuted on the National Top 50 Earshot charts, was well received by CMJ reporting stations across the USA, and received heavy rotation on Sirius XM’s Iceberg Radio and the Verge. The record also earned Autopilot showcases at festivals including Canadian Music Week (2015 and 2016), Indie Week, AYE Fest in Cincinnati, Fairfield Revival Festival in Minnesota, and has warranted three extensive USA tours since its release.

Diamond Rough, which was released September 2013, charted on Earshot and CMJ stations, received play on CBC and commercial rock radio, was featured several popular podcasts, picked up for licensing on major US television networks, and received a great deal of coverage from print and online media across North America.

Autopilot’s first full-length album, Now It’s Time You Know What We’re Losing For, produced by Joel Passmore of Rah Rah, was released in 2007. Autopilot toured extensively to promote the album, which charted on college radio and received great response from the CBC.

Autopilot has always been a dedicated touring band. They spent 5 months on the road in support of Diamond Rough including their first USA tour which was a huge success. They have kept the momentum going with Desert Dreams including three extensive USA tours and countless Canadian dates over the past 18 months. The band has plans to continue touring consistently across North America in 2016 and 2017 in support of the new single and upcoming full-length album.

Touring has taken the band all across the United States and coast to coast in Canada playing a variety of venues from small clubs to major festivals including Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, MoSoFest, Junofest, the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, AYE Fest, and Fairfield Revival. Autopilot has shared the stage with notable artists including Hollerado, You Say Party!, David Usher, Highkicks, The Albertans and The Tontons.
