OMAHA with Sonic Intension and Matt Cronin at The Down Under Lounge

OMAHA – Big notes to subtle tones, the mandolin sings, while the violin bows, the upright’s thumpin’, and the vocals take it home. Upbeat to hearing your heartbeat.

Sonic Intension – As a 5-piece Neo-Soul/Americana band out of Minneapolis, the band has been touring regionally for the past year in support of their “First Four Tracks” which was recorded at RiverRock studio and released in December 2014. With influences ranging from Blues to jazz to funk to rock and a wide incorporation of vocal harmonies, their sound has been liked to Erykah Badu meets The Civil Wars.

“They throw funk, bluesy soul, jazzy cello influences, a dash of pop and Kirstin’s beautifully alluring sultry voice mixed with the other vocalists solos/harmonies into a pot and melt it all down into a colorful smash up of amazing proportions.”

In the summer of 2015, they did an in-studio performance and interview on Minneapolis’ radio station RadioK’s “Off The Record.” and have received constant airplay on the radio throughout 2015 and into 2016.

Matt Cronin – Rabble-rouser, balladeer, and both friend and enemy to raccoons everywhere (depending on how close they get to his chickens).
