This meeting is at the Reverb Lounge. We’ll gather at 7:30pm and begin sharing songs at 8pm.

Bring a recent song you’ve been working on, try the song challenge or just come to enjoy the conversation.

The song challenge for this meeting is “Suspended”. Try to create a song using the word or concept of “Suspended” as a starting point. We’ll share the results at this BSE meeting on January 12th.

Benson Songwriter’s Exchange is a get-together for songwriters (or those interested in becoming songwriters) to support, share and talk about their work with other writers. This is not a class and there is not a teacher. This is a community of artists interested in being challenged and inspired by each other.

If you choose to perform a song it should be written or revised within the past two weeks. Performance is not required. Those not ready to share or those who want to write but haven’t yet, can sit and enjoy the camaraderie. Feedback should be positive, helpful and constructive and only given when asked for.

If you play an instrument, bring it along. Otherwise you are welcome to present your song A Capella or with hand percussion.
