ABOUT THE HUMAN VOICE: A woman’s lover has left her for another. After three agonizing days he calls. During their final conversation, her dignity unravels as lies, nostalgia, manipulations, paranoia and desperation are laid bare over the phone. Rarely performed, it is one of opera’s most powerful monologues composed by Francis Poulenc, based on the play “La Voix Humaine” by Jean Cocteau and sung in English. Contains mature content.
Stage Director: James de Blasis
Music Director: J. Gawf
Featuring Mary Carrick as Elle.
