If you’re feeling a little too comfortable in your seat headed into the weekend, Spring Break Tapes, the cassette tape label responsible for releasing Bus Gas’s Snake Hymns next week, has released another track from the forthcoming album.
Listen to “Awake, Awake, Awake.”
Maybe your palms will begin to sweat. You’re staring at the space between here and the wall. You can’t keep anything in the frame of your mind for longer than a moment or two. Don’t worry, it’s all part of the charm.
Snake Hymns will be out Oct. 7 and available in a 100-tape run. Be on the lookout for a podcast review of the drone band’s third release.

Folk-country band The Talbott Brothers has played its way around the western United States in the last couple weeks. The Imperial, Nebraska-born brothers released a couple videos from the road, including a video of Nick and Tyler Talbott playing their song “Disappear” at Canon Beach, Ore. You might recognize the haystack rock in the background from The Goonies.
