Tie These hands is a four piece, indie rock, dreamgaze, occasional pop band from Lincoln, NE consisting of three brothers and a bassist.
Biography
Tie These Hands are based out of Lincoln, NE and came to be when Aram and Naum were in high school. They recorded their first album Wearing Red in 2002, taking three days off in their senior year for studio time. The band went on to play many regional shows, and a year later released a split CD with a local instrumental band named Mr. 1986 on Redemption Records. Tie These Hands continued to build local buzz for the next five years, and then slowed down in that time after the Stauffer twins got forced out on their own, as paying bills cut into touring and recording budgets. In 2006 they were approached by a promoter friend from Springfield, MO. who was starting a label and wanted them for an album. In 2007 they released We Work Out on Workers Unite! Records and were joined by current member Ryan Phillips. In 2011 they were contacted by Kilk Records in Japan, and put out the full-legth album, Come On, which they are now self-releasing in the U.S.
