Todd Fink of The Faint is back for another DJ set, exploring the subversive sounds of techno. And when we say techno, we don’t mean the type of techno people confuse for various genres of EDM. We mean TECHNO, as in the four-to-the-floor aesthetic that has a direct lineage to Detroit.

The last time we put down a set of techno at House of Loom back in June, we saw some folks scratch their heads at the start. But by the end, that dance floor was off the meters.

In addition, Graham Ulicny of the Athens GA band Reptar, will be doing a live techno set. Some of you may have attended a generator show in Gifford Park over the summer where Graham a live & improvised hardware techno set with the keyboard player from Reptar. On this night, Fink will join hims, along with a pile of gear on a table, to construct some pure, unadulterated beats.
