“Vertigo” by Simon Joyner | Song Premiere

One of Omah's most storied — not to mention prolific — musicians, Simon Joyner releases his band's double LP, Ghosts, Friday, Aug. 3, at the Sydney in Benson. The dark (though-diverse) folk-rock record is the product of a wildly succesfull Kickstarter fundraiser that nearly doubled Joyner's $6,000 goal.

Joyner told Lazy-i's Tim McMahan that the opening track, "Vertigo," announces some of the album’s themes: "escape and entrapment,” Joyner said. “Musically speaking, it sets the tone as far as the jagged, dissonant qualities of a band doing jagged, dissonant songs. It lets people know that this is going to be something different.”
