Omaha rolls out the red carpet to honor the best in local music, visual and performing arts, and theater. We'll be there, of course, with of-the-moment updates.

This weekend, Omaha rolls out its red carpet for the 5th-annual Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards, scheduled this year at Harrah's Convention Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The ceremony — kind of an Omaha mashup of the Grammys, Tonys and various arts-related galas — will honor the best in local music, visual and performing arts, and theater. Doors for the Sunday event open at 5:30 p.m.; the show gets rolling at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can plan to see select nominees perform during the show; DJ nominees will spin at the Harrah's Stir Live and Loud post-party. Tickets are $20.
We'll be there, of course, with of-the-moment updates, red-carpet style reports and all the shocking upsets as we live tweet the OEAs from top to bottom. Follow @hearnebraska and the #OEAA hashtag. If you're planning to head to a show that night, don't fret — we'll do a full recap on Monday, too.
Until then, check out this year's music nominees (along with visual arts nominees, listed here, and performing arts/theater nominees, listed here). Follow all the latest OEAA news at @oeaawards.
