Conduits, fronted by vocalist Jenna Morrison (Son, Ambulance) and featuring Roger Lewis (The Good Life, Neva Dinova), Mike Overfield, JJ Idt (both of Eagle Seagull), and Nate Mickish (The Golden Age, Spring Gun) are a chiming, building sonic adventure like nothing else around here. Morrison has the strength to keep her voice above the waves as the slow-build ambient rock hit tidal-wave crescendos. They don’t play pop songs, more like cinematic set pieces that would work well played in succession with no breaks — a sonic experience, with songs designed for the listener to lose themselves in. They are currently working on recording their first album, set to debut some time Spring 2011. You’ll be hearing more from this band.
