“Caucasian Meditation” by Noah’s Ark Was a Spaceship | Love Drunk Video

In Love Drunk's 109th session, Noah's Ark Was a Spaceship performs "Caucasian Meditation," inside Legend Comics on 52nd and Leavenworth in Omaha, Neb.

"This is one of the more-fun songs to play on the record," said bassist John Svatos. "Since this was our second Love Drunk session [see the first], we were able to relax a little bit more and focus on playing the song.

"Legend Comics was an amazing place to shoot and the staff was so kind to us and dealing with all of the noise," he said.

Svatos added that the comic books themselves presented a layer of insulation that gave the room favorable audio qualities.

"And we got to hold an issue of Spiderman #1 that the store is raffling off to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation in Nebraska," Svatos said.

The song appears on the band's new full-length, You Need You, which will be available at their record release show Saturday night at The Waiting Room Lounge. Baby Tears opens, followed by UUVVWWZ and Back When. [event invite]

Note: The boy who appears behind frontman Andrew Gustafson during the video is 3-year-old Simon Marble. Simon's father, Andy, brought him to the store to drink some coffee, check out the band, and presumably, pick up issue #109 of The Walking Dead.
