Drag queens lip-synched and left the stage to seductively dance among concertgoers. Dressed in nothing but a leather, studded jock strap, leather jacket and mask with eye holes, Plack Blague took center stage with his personal spotlight, static sounds and screams.

And Big Freedia, the main act of Sunday night’s concert at The Bourbon, heralded bounce dancers, fast-paced beats and, yes, twerking.
