When it’s over, we know he’s told this one before. The rhythm, the details and the way in which HN illustrator Lance Heybrock is able to highlight Carr’s plot with drawings make for an epic that deserves being told in three parts starting with The Incident.

Welcome to the first installment of our Illustrated Stories. Carr, a regular in the Lincoln music scene as vocalist/guitarist for Universe Contest, will take you through his Wednesday night downtown gone awry by pizza, $1 a slice. Watch the story below.

Then watch Carr in concert on Saturday as he plays a doubleheader at the Winter Formal 2013 concerts at Duffy’s. The Daily Nebraskan and KRNU present Universe Contest with Gordon at an early show starting at 6 p.m. The later show features Universe Contest and Powers.
