On this episode of the Under the Influence podcast, Dan McCarthy of McCarthy Trenching — an Omaha musician who’s also played with Bright Eyes and the Mynabirds — talks androgyny, Murphy Brown and joke songs. Meanwhile, he plays a couple of tunes, including a version of “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” with psychoanalytical commentary.
