BZZZ is an indie electropop band that delivers big sounds, big beats, and fervent vocal performances. Composed of the multi-talented songwriter/performer/producer duo of Sean Beste and James Fleege, BZZZ wrings fresh/next generation pop out of an organic, analog approach to making electronic dance music, one handcrafted sound at a time.

BZZZ’ 2013 debut EP The Conclusion is turning heads across the music industry; generating rave reviews and 5 star ratings on iTunes, landing on global distributor’s “hot lists”; and being licensed for advertising, film and television.

Pianist and vocalist Beste honed his chops in pop epi-center Los Angeles while fronting his first band Square, a jazz-rock trio who took the Orange County music scene by storm in the early 2000s. After a successful run, Square eventually disbanded, with members James Valentine and Ryland Steen moving on to become key members of the bands Maroon 5 and Reel Big Fish, respectively. After the Square breakup and prior to the formation of BZZZ, Beste focused on writing and producing and in the process was introduced to a mecca of talent and characters in the LA scene, many of whom he calls on today to flavor the BZZZ sound.

A musician’s musician, Fleege rounds out the BZZZ sound with the contribution of a diverse range of instrument mastery. Stints in the Nashville and New York City music scenes led to acceptance to and attendance of Berklee College of Music in Boston, where Fleege pursued a degree in Music Production and Engineering until joining Beste and BZZZ. Equally comfortable slapping a bass, laying down funk guitar, or dropping big beats; Fleege’s performances give the BZZZ sound an organic, natural feel missing in most contemporary dance and pop music.

Currently, BZZZ is working on new music to follow up their debut EP The Conclusion.
