Don't worry, they were going to tear the house down anyway. Icky Blossoms' video for "Perfect Vision" captures a couple pummeling sheetrock, swinging from a chandelier and setting fire to the bed, among other destructive acts. To answer questions within the song, it's neither raining nor snowing: The forecast calls for heavy precipitation of glass shards.
The band says their music videos exist within the same universe, but it's easy to break yet another wall, the fourth, and wonder who allowed this ravaging to take place in their abode. Turns out it was Habitat for Humanity, and the two characters, with various substances in their bloodstream, did a good deal of work to aid the already planned demolition.
So here's hoping you weren't eyeing the microwave because it might have trouble turning on. "We were dealing with a 6-1/2-minute long song," the band says. "We had to keep things interesting."

That would be great if it were true
It wouldn't affect our editorial decisions, though.

Part of HN's mission is to document Nebraska music culture. We do this in part by aggregating news and media featuring Nebraska bands. Icky Blossoms just released its debut album, has put out a few videos for it, and it's receiving national press attention. So it's natural that we're running stories featuring them right now.
We monitor the interwebs every day to find Nebraska music videos, album streams and other news so we can share it here. That said, we know there are stories and even genres we're undercovering. We need your help to do it. Send story ideas to michaeltodd@hearnebraska.org or to me at andrewn@hearnebraska.org. Or just create a blog and post them yourself, and if you have questions on how to do that, please contact one of us.
Thanks for reading.
