Orion Walsh announces seventh studio album, U.S. and European tours

Lincoln singer/songwriter Orion Walsh has big plans for 2017, beginning with a new album and a return to his traveling ways.

Walsh has announced his seventh studio album 7, due January 7 on Sower Records. While his previous effort, Love Isn’t What You’d Expect found the troubadour weary from his travels, the available new tracks (on Walsh’s Bandcamp page here) indicate an album injected with the spirit of wanderlust.

It may come as no surprise, then, that Walsh will start the year on the road, playing six dates in the U.S. with fellow songwriter JM Lansdowne before heading overseas for a few months. He will spend most of his time in small clubs and living rooms in Germany, hopping over to Switzerland for two dates in February and to Finland for three dates at the end of tour.

See Walsh’s first-quarter schedule below, and listen to the first three tracks from 7.
