“Village” by Icky Blossoms | Love Drunk Video

by Andrew Norman

With eight tiny wheels on each of their feet and the most god-awful '70s clothes — silk, spandex, nylon, hotpants — they could find, the "extras" at Icky Blossoms' Love Drunk video shoot Sunday, Oct. 2 turned Hope Skate in North Omaha into a rock 'n' roll disco. It's fitting, since the band (featuring members of Tilly and the Wall, Eagle Seagull, Indreama) plays an irresistibly dancy form of indie rock that's made them perhaps the state's most exciting new band — at least the one most likely to make a significant impression nationally. Hippy dance thrash, perhaps. See for yourself.

Icky Blossoms performs "Village" at Hope Skate in Omaha, Neb.
