“Two at a Time” by Evan Bartels | Sonata Sessions

Evan Bartels’ “Two at a Time” — as its verses move from doubles on booze to miles to confessed sins — depicts lives measured, and given meaning by, excess. In the Lincoln folk musician’s smokey drawl, it feels all the more cathartic for how lonely the performance stands.
