Tim Carr’s Pizza Court: Part Two, The Hearings | Illustrated Stories

illustrations by Lance Heybrock

Let’s catch you up to speed: The story below finds Universe Contest‘s Tim Carr in the second act of his epic three-act comedy/drama.

Over the course of months, he has made his way to the first stage of his legal battle over a slice of pizza. Yes, a slice of pizza. In short, the incident happened like this: Carr goes to a bar; he sees a box of pizza; he takes some; he pays for the pizza, $1 a piece with a tip; bar accuses him of stealing; police officer writes a ticket for theft.

Here, Carr tells the part about the Queen of Hearts, a ruthless judge who threatens that Carr could go to jail for a year for stealing pizza. It’s a series of illustrated videos we’re calling Pizza Court. See the first part further below if you haven’t, and stay tuned for the final installment, The Trial, soon.

Universe Contest is now on tour with stops remaining in Des Moines, Iowa, Joplin, Mo., Columbia, Mo., St. Joseph, Mo. and Kansas City, Mo. See here for details.
