“Flathead” by Powers | Love Drunk Video

In Love Drunk‘s 118th session, Lincoln rock band Powers plays “Flathead,” in a hollowed-out space above Knickerbockers.

It’s track No. 3 on the band’s self-titled EP, which will be released this Wednesday at Duffy’s Tavern at 9 p.m. during Lincoln Calling. Lincoln Calling is a five-day music festival featuring 100+ bands and DJs at 10 venues from Oct. 15-19.

“(‘Flathead’) was the third or fourth song we wrote,” said drummer Jordan Elfers. “The album is weird. It’s something we’re all very proud of and thankful for, but since recording it, we’ve found a much more cohesive sound.”

Elfers said the band has nearly enough songs to record a new full-length. Let’s hope they don’t take too long.
