SHAFER: Faith-based singer/songwriter Benjamin Shafer was born and raised in Cozad, Nebraska. He spent his formative years in and out of various local christian rock bands before being called into worship ministry within the local church. Now days, Ben finds himself singing his heartfelt Jesus-centered songs to a vast audience. He issued his debut solo album, “Dream Awake” in 2006, followed in 2010 by “Unto Us” (Christmas EP). His latest release was in October of 2013, “Sons & Daughters” where Ben set out to write a collection of songs for the Church and congregational gatherings. Ben’s love for people and passion for his art form, drives him to get his songs out to as many people as he can, heralding the news of hope found in Jesus Christ.
